The 2011 contest

The 2011 World Press Photo Contest is now open for entries. We invite professional photographers and photojournalists from around the world to participate.

Entries may only be submitted online via our web entry site. A user name and password are required to enter and may be requested through 7 January 2011.

The deadline for submissions is 13 January 2011, 23.59 Central European Time.

When making a selection of photos, be sure to read the advice from David Burnett, jury chair of the 2011 World Press Photo Contest.
